How cold and windy does it have to be to not go shooting? I really need to get my rifle zeroed so I can go hunting. I only have time on the weekends with my hectic work schedule to do anything.

So… does anyone else willingly work on the weekends besides me?

I’ve seen on Instagram a few people eat below maintenance in the week and at maintenance on weekends (or 5:2)- does this work well for weight loss?

I try to stick to the 80:20 rule (eating 80% healthy foods and 20% processed foods etc)
I’ve been eating 1300-1500 a day, sometimes I eat more but I try not to. My maintenance is 1750.
I wondered if I ate 1500 5 days a week and 1700 2 days a week if this would still be effective weight loss?
Sometimes I get a bit tired of eating under maintenance and wish I could eat more but I don’t want to hinder my progress.

I'm sure it depends on the agency, but (generally speaking) how is the work life balance in 1811 jobs? Does anyone get to telework? Do you work weekends? Does it all depend on seniority/GS level?

Coworker works 80 hours a week and convinced boss to make us work on weekends

I already put in my 2 weeks notice, but I will leave sooner. My coworker loves to work. She works about 80 hours a week. She is in her late 50s, and I am in my 20s. My department is tasked with many duties, but they're not urgent. She convinced my boss that we need to work on weekends to get our work done since it's too much. She said that being salaried means we have to do whatever it takes to get the work done. He made us rotate on weekends. We already work on weekends sometimes since we get calls, but now we have to work full-time on weekends if it is our turn. We do not get paid for it. I was against this idea, and my boss and his colleagues were not happy at me.
I'm leaving, and I'm so proud of myself.

Work advice, new job pays 10k more, stress is high and weekends on call. Not sure if it’s worth it anymore.

Lots of context but need some unbiased advice on my work situation. I work for a major company, been with them 10 years in an easy role that I was comfortable in, working Mon-Fri but evenings so I would not be home with my family for dinner. Also it is quite physical but I kind of liked that aspect of it. Eventually I would get to a day shift but still probably 2 years away.
7 months ago a job opportunity with the company but in a different department came up, it’s a much sought after position so I applied and got the job. It’s a completely different job that is more high stress which I’m learning to deal with, but one thing I may have underrated is the on call aspect of it. We rotate on call but basically 1/3 of the weekends I need to have my work phone on me and be available to go fix issues when called. At first I managed but I’m starting to hate it so much. It is overtime so good money but I love spending weekends with my family and not worrying about work. Because of the overtime and bit of a pay raise the new job is probably 10k more a year as well.
So many variables to the situation as well. The new job allows me to be home most nights for dinner which I love, is teaching me new skills that are much more valuable if I ever leave the company, but I’ve had so many mental breakdowns just dealing with the new job, the on call aspect, and honestly work environment as my colleagues in old department are some of my closest friends. I think per union rules I can go back to my old position until I hit 2000 hours which is approaching early next year. I’m so lost, not expecting any outright answers from Reddit, but just needed to vent somewhere and maybe get some advice.
