Seems like it was either from or styled to sound like it was from a 1940s radio broadcast. Just classic Christmas songs with old Philadelphia Cream Cheese ads sprinkled throughout! Sounds specific enough to have gotten some hits on google, but no luck. Obviously a lot of Christmas recipes involving cream cheese came up. Family originally bought the album/CD set in mid 2000's. I vaguely remember the case being grey and folding out - there were 4-6 CDs in the collection. edit: after listening to some vintage Philadelphia ads, I'm thinking the radio hour would've been in either the 50s or 60s, not 40s.
I know generic brands exist, but I can taste a difference. Does anyone know what Philadelphia does with their cream cheese to make it so distinct or have any suggested replacements? Thanks! *edit: I live in California and it's averaging $5-$6 for a block for Philadelphia and $1-$3 for generics.
