Landlord trying to deduct £150 from bond for rusty bathroom down lights after 6 year tenancy.

I'm trying to find out if this constitutes as wear and tear, and if I should push back on it.
Private tenancy for 6 years, just moved out. Landlord wants £150 to replace all the metal rings around the down lights in the bathroom, saying they were new when I moved in in 2016.
The extractor fan was hooked up to the lights and was always on and operating properly if we were using the bathroom. We'd also open the window if it was steamy. I also usually showered with the door open. There's absolutely no mold or black spots in the bathroom, which you would expect to occur if we were not ventilating the room. I have videos of the bathroom when we left to prove there was no mold or damage.
I suspect they were cheap fittings and can reasonably be expected to be replaced by the owner of the property after 6 years, especially the light directly above the shower cubicle. Should I push back or leave it?

I've just found out that my landlord hasn't had the appropriate licence for the whole 3 years I've lived here. she only told me today that in January (which corresponds to the end of the current tenancy) we have to cut down by a tenant because of "licencing rules changing", what do I do?

Ok this is my third post in a couple of days but I'm unfolding a bunch of mess it seems...
I've just posted about HMOs wondering why my landlord wouldn't be able to renew her licence, so I went and looked at all the info I could find and managed to look up the property on my council website. It turns out that the licence she has is a selective licence (which she renewed in February of 2020, same year 3 of us moved in) and that should only allow for two households, but MAYBE MAYBE the additional licence was not needed because our flat is not the designation area that required it...until now (if that makes sense..apparently the designation area in this council is changing from January 2023, so maybe it didn't cover the flat until the new update...thing is I really can't find any old maps to check:/!!!)
I've been here with two friends for 3 years now, so I always assumed she had an "additional HMO" licence. I don't know what the deal is honestly, I have now emailed the contact I found on my council website, I may call up the council tomorrow just in case...but idk.. Do I ask her to look into licencing the property for 3 households and ask why she doesn't think she is be able to do it? What a mess, idk

I broke a tenancy agreement due to a bad leak in our roof - is it fair ground for termination? I’ve been following up on it for almost 2 years. Got pretty bad lately so we decided to leave.

On a joint tenancy for another year but want to leave early

My name is on the lease with my two other roommates. My lease expired in august but my landlord convinced us to sign another year long lease. I want to move out.
Can I ask my landlord to assign my lease or would everyone have to move out for a new assignment?
Second question, is the new, year long lease even valid or would I actually be on a month to month?
Thanks!

Been a great tenant for a year and a half, to be served with a final date and no tenancy renewal in 8 weeks time. Rent now increasing £300 plus moving costs and the stress of it.

Edit: Landlord is selling the flat due to rising care costs, hence why not renewing my tenancy. I asked the estate agents if they have any investors looking for a property to buy...

[CA] Can a landlord sue for back-rent from 3 years ago on a holdover tenancy?

My mother has been living at her rental home for about 7 years. At the end of the first year, the landlord let her stay (which I heard is called a month-to-month tenancy). She never signed anything past the original lease from 7 years ago. She struggled to pay rent in full, but the landlord never evicted her. Now the landlord is trying to sue her for back rent that she could not pay from 3 years ago. Does this count as a written lease as she is a holdover tenant, or is it an oral lease? She is calling an attorney about this, but I just wanted to ask.

Just noticed our rented flat up for sale. Assured shorthold tenancy - Fixed Term for a year. No break clause. Can they issue section 21?

We've been here for a year and just signed a 1 year extension to our tenancy. No break clause, fixed term for another year. Assured shorthold.
Just noticed the flat up for sale - Can they issue a section 21? There's no mention of a tenant in the listing so am concerned!
My understanding is with fixed term/no break they can't get rid of us until the tenancy is complete but I want to be sure and find out my options if they can and do serve the section 21.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Edit: Seem like I'm safe with the fixed term and section 21 can't be used. Thanks all.

My tenant violated several provisions in the lease. But the lease expired and we entered into periodic tenancy in her last year in my property. Could I still sue for damages?

My tenant violated several provisions in the lease. But the lease expired and we entered into periodic tenancy in her last year in my property. Is my lease still valid? Could I still sue her for damages? She left burn marks on my floor, she burned the bed box, she improperly disposed of her mattress which left me with an infraction fee of USSD 500 from my co-op. Could I still sue her for damages even tho in her last year, she was a periodic tenant and we hadnt signed any lease from thereon?
