Single ladies, working corporate, staying alone - how do you manage a hectic job and health?
So I’m a 27 year old, who’s fairly new to the corporate world, living on my own (big girl moves!). I make just enough to support myself with the bare minimum, so I don’t have a maid or cook - I figured a single person wouldn’t need all that maintenance, as I’m able to cook. But my job is super hectic and I’ve to work late hours most days, which means by the time I’m home I’m too frustrated, tired, annoyed to cook or even hit the gym. As a result I end up having takeout because of which my health has gone for a toss. I’ve put on around 20 kgs. So to all ladies in a similar predicament as me - what tips would give me?? I need to structure my days in such a way that I have time for gym, cooking, and also attend therapy.

I can easily prospect, cold call, attend events and meet people who are complete strangers but the paperwork and getting things into the CRM and any reports kill me how do you do it? Hi everyone, I work with one of the banks in Canada. I'm in collections but I do back-end work. I don't speak with any clients on the phone. I started in January and training was provided for a couple of weeks. However there is no training documentation whatsoever. In my training I was told that in the morning, we use Software A and it gives us best results, I was told the strategies to using this Software most efficiently. I was also told Software B also brings us results and we also can use our own manual client list. I was provided some outdated lists just in case. My trainer switched to another role in the bank and my manager told me eventually I would get some in-person training. I have been in office about 8 times now. Fast forward to today, 9 months later: Software A has only worked half the time, Software B has not worked at all, the client lists are empty(because I've been sweeping them day after day without any new lists), and I haven't gotten a single in-person training session. Software A is most important because, let's say my target is 100, Software A in the morning is supposed to bring me to at least 50. It hasn't done that for months. I approached my manager about all of this. Her response is "Software A has always had problems", no reaction to Software B being missing, and no in-person training(I even messaged her when I was in office to sit down with me, got nothing). I told her I can't realistically hit target given the situation. Her response is "use the lists" but I don't think these are a reasonable alternative at all. I've also noticed my manager has a tendency to use inaccurate and misleading wording. This happens frequently and I've called her out on it before. She has provided information which not only has been incorrect but has weakened my performance too. I haven't sent any emails yet or spoken to Human Resources about this, but I'm a bit worried, because I don't want to lose my job for something I'm strongly not responsible for. I also noticed other employees echoing my feedback. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this?

So for context i'm 23(F) and i've been working at my job for about a year, my two managers are both older females (and just so happen to be best friends outside of work) i won't say where it is but i waitress and bartend six days a week.. (so i spend a lot of time there) so about two weeks ago it was a super busy night we had a full house and i was the only waitress so i was extremely busy and running around so i barely noticed when my manager began having an altercation with two customers. my manager ended up escorting the two out of my work, all of a sudden we hear my manager screaming for HELP and calling one of my other coworkers (Male) BY NAME. So we all ran out there under the impression she was getting hurt or something awful was happening to her and by the time i got outside she was on the phone with the police telling the police she thinks the customer had a gun... while she's on the phone telling the police that , my male coworker (that she called BY NAME to come out there ) is trying to defuse the situation because now the angry customers are trying to argue and fight with my (Male) coworker! telling my coworker they're going to "kill him" and "beat him up" Once a few bystanders started getting out their phones and recording the two individuals they ended up turning around and running off right before the cops showed up... once the cops get there they make my coworker and my manager get in the back of a cop car as they drove around trying to apprehend the suspects. they ended up finding both of them in the same apartment complex my (M) coworker lives in.. i felt (and still do) sooo bad for my coworker he's an amazing, hardworking, and genuine person and i cannot believe that our manager, someone who is supposed to protect us no matter what, literally tried to inject him into a situation when she thought two people had guns! my coworker ended up quitting 5 minutes after the cops left and there has been absolutely NO CONSEQUENCES for my managers actions. concerned with not only MY own safety but the safety of alll my coworkers, i decided to call my corporate office and let them know what happened. i felt like someone needed to let them know how she put not only every single one of her employees at risk, but she also put every single customer that was inside at risk as well. if those people really wanted to use their guns we all would have been dead and my own manager would have led us to our death!! the irony of all of this is my manager just made all the employees take a training course on what to do if an active shooter comes into my work and she literally broke every single rule she told us to follow! i can't help but think i'm not safe at my work any more, especially not with that manager! i feel like i can no longer trust or respect her and i felt like my corporate office needed to know about it, but since i called my manager hasn't been back to work and now her schedule says she's on 'vacation' but my other employees think it's because of the incident (of course no one knows it was ME who called them) i can't help but wonder if i'm the A-hole for potentially costing this woman her job... i also can't help but feel like what i did was the right thing to do.. i hope all of this makes sense, sorry i'm not good at getting all my thoughts out... i left the chat open so i could clarify anything if needed... please let me know honestly, Am i the A-HOLE??
