I'll just do a thought dump on these two topics here. What is inflation? Text-book definition is it's the general increase of price of goods and services. Yun bubblegum mo na piso dati ngayon dalawang piso na? Bingo. Inflation is a natural occurrence in market economies. You'd hate to have the opposite because it's a trap (insert meme here) Is all inflation between countries the same? From a country-to-country basis, no. For example, food is the biggest weighting to Philippine inflation figures with nearly 40%. If food costs troop upwards, Philippine inflation will likely move similarly. This is in contrary to Singapore where food has a smaller weighting to their inflation figures. Is inflation a problem? It depends on who you ask. Ideally, you want inflation to be low and consistent. If less than ideal, you just want it to be consistent. You definitely don't want any negative inflation -- that is why Japan welcomes all forms of inflation. You also don't want inflation to be low as a result of low domestic demand; that's what China is currently facing as the odd benefit of their ongoing real-estate crisis and strict COVID policy is dampening demand and ironically keeping inflation low during a time where most developed nations are struggling with it. Can I protect against inflation by switching PHP to ? You're not comparing apples to apples. Inflation is the increase on the prices of goods and services; it doesn't affect your currency. One peso is still one peso -- it's just that the purchasing power of the peso changes. You need to understand that if you put 10-pesos in the bank today, it's still 10-pesos in 2023. Many people in phinvest have this misconception na nagiging 8 or 9, trust me, your 10 remains a 10 unless may nagnanakaw sayo; it's just that you can buy less products with it. Knowing the difference of this concept is incredibly important for those learning economics. Why isn't the BSP moving to strengthen the Peso? The BSP generally adopts a hands-off approach and just lets the peso float in the free market. However, it intervenes from time to time (like recently) as it sells its dollars and buys pesos in the market to stabilize it. However, this is a short-term solution for volatility. Right now, we're in the middle of the pack. The peso isn't weak, it's just that the dollar is strong. It has always moved cautiously because you don't want to be the next Venezuela. If the BSP aggressively hikes to strengthen the peso, what it'll likely do is stifle growth within the country and this furthermore leads to the road to Argentina. Gusto niyo ba car loans niyo mag +50%? Thought so. Pangit ba if mataas ang USD/PHP? In general, yes. Because the Philippines imports more than its exports since 2010. However, running a negative trade balance isn't always bad. For example, the US has been running a deficit for a very long time. If you're still confused, read up on international trade because it'll be a long topic. What a rising dollar means is that it's unfavorable for imports and favorable for exports. The pendulum can swing at any time (e.g. USD/PHP at 40s during 2008) and one isn't necessarily better than the other; maybe it's time to improve our export industry by reviving the manufacturing base as Filipino products are getting more competitive versus the dollar. What's important is the relative stability of the PHP. Hindi yun 40 today, 60 tomorrow. Businesses cannot function when forex markets are extremely volatile (they'll likely just close stores if they do). But a gradual increase or decrease is fine because it doesn't shit on their decision making. Pangit ba if malakas ang Peso? Like I said, it depends on where you are sa export/import balance. If you're an OFW, you'd hate it because you're suddenly remitting less pesos than you're used to. If you're like Japan in the 1980s, it's the downfall of your economy.
Case study: In the 1980s, Japan's economy was booming. It's the #2 economy behind the United States as its exporting a lot of Toyota, Fujitsu, Panasonic, name it. From Y240 in 1985, it appreciated so much that by 1995 it hit Y80. At its peak, it temporarily made Japan's economy nearly the same size of the US but it hurt export growth and the industrial base so much that Japan never really recovered their number two spot ceding it to China (it now grapples with deflation throughout much of the 2000s). Case Study #2: Ironically, China learned from this and intentionally made the Yuan undervalued versus the USD throughout most of its economic growth cycle. It does this by buying US currency and treasury notes in the market and this is also why they have massive foreign reserves. The cheap Yuan gives China an unfair advantage in the export market and couple this with their manufacturing base means the rise of China to be the number-two economy through "Made in China"
I moved from PHP to USD/EUGBP, what do I need to know? First of all, you lost a bit as the money changer got a bit of their share in your spread. So, all things considered, you already lost money. Since you switched currencies, you're now exposed to that currency and everything that affects it. Is it okay to hate inflation but like rising wages? Well, no. You see, not only does the increase of raw materials affect inflation but also rising wages. All else equal, if wages rise and there's one banana left in the supermarket, and you really want to go all-in monkey today -- you'll do a bidding war for that banana. That's how US inflation happened as they gave out stimulus cheques during COVID to prop up the economy. USDPHP, san ka punta, to da moon. USDPHP will be favorable short-term but tapers off long-term. This is because the DXY is already at an all-time high with levels not seen since 2002. The US Federal Reserve is hiking rates to tame inflation, but they can only do this as long as employment is high in the US. If the labor market cools, it's expected to let off the gas pedal. The BSP will likely just follow the Fed much like the rest of the central banks of the world. If they hike, we hike. There's only few that resists this trend such as Japan's BoJ or China's PBoC. If you ask me, I'd say short-term it'll peak at P62-P63. But medium-long, I'd say an average of P55 is likely. If you want to believe UBS (min. P150M in the bank), then they're sticking with P60 as peak. The more you expect a recession to come, the faster you should expect it to cool. Marcos Golden Era here we go. Hi Everyone, I recently joined IM Academy from a work friend who is learning Forex, I too was interested and then joined. I admit I usually do my research however for some reason I jumped right at this, the £155 sign up fee (and monthly fee) felt expensive. I joined the telegram groups and the support/atmosphere was great but it is also overwhelming with the amount of information presented. However, I started getting suspicious when we had a group call with a ''chairman'' who started off with some good tips on managing emotions but then went on about residual income and having to recruit more people to make money. She used terminology about how it's a 'mindset' and you need to 'fully commit' to this. This is where alarm bells started ringing and now i'm trying to figure out if I am dumbass, especially as you can learn how to trade for free. I have not started on the learning material yet but majority of my research is saying that IM is a MLM (like the video from Always Marco) as well as many other people. Some people are saying that the info is legit and you need to give it chance. My friend has never forced me to recruit other people and says he wants to focus on trading. I am really confused on what to do as I feel bad for leaving, should I try the content as I have already paid 1 months subscription to it? Does anyone have any experiences with IM Academy?

This seat has historically been red,but the last few cycles has been blue (like the trend in the rest of Orange County/San Diego areas). Maryott is a strong fiscal conservative and has a professional background in financial planning, so he's a logical choice for the district.
Mark Meuser(R) Constitutional Attorney. His opponent is the incumbent Alex Padilla, who is one of the long time California "architects of failure."
Ballot Measures
California is special because of the ballot measures citizens get to vote on. Often they’re worded in strange, double-negative speak to confuse people to vote for more spending. Proposition 1 (amending state constitution to add abortion) - NO Proposition 26 (more tribal gambling) - NO - this is a sneaky carve out for one specific tribe to the detriment of others. Proposition 27 (online gambling off tribal lands) - Personal choice Proposition 28 (more money for arts, education, music, etc) - NO Proposition 30 (raise in taxes to try and fight pollution and wildfires) - NO Proposition 31 (referendum to end sales of flavored tobacco) - NO
Los Angeles Mayor - Rick Caruso(I) Attorney General - Nathan Hochman(R) The other choice is the incumbent, Rob Bonta, and he's the same as George Gascon, we don't need another Gascon. State Controller - Lanhee Chen(R) Fiscal Advisor, Educator The one chance a Republican has to win statewide office. He says he really will track the wasteful spending by Sacramento.
This is a new district and Republican Barbara Kirkmeyer (R) is running to serve her state now at the Federal level. She has previously served in the Colorado State Senate and as county commissioner.
Heidi Ganahl (R) is challenging Democrat incumbent Polis in another very contested race in what many believe to be a left stronghold. Ganahl is running against failed Colorado policies that has made her state one of the epicenters of Fentanyl abuse.
George Logan (R) - CT's 5th district is the product of redistricting and ballotpedia says that the area would have voted overwhelmingly for Joe Biden in 2020 race. However, Logan has made inroads and has pushed the seat into "toss up" territory. The 5th district could potentially be the only red seat in a sea of blue in CT and the greater New England area. Logan is an engineer and worked in environmental management before he started public service. He most recently served in CT's state senate.
Marco Rubio (R) is up for re-election. Early on polls were showing this as a contested race, but recently he's pulled ahead of his challenger (still vote, do not sleep!).
Governor
Ron DeSantis (Veteran) (R) - The man that needs no introduction. Effective governor who is basically leading the nation.
VOTE YES - This seems counter intuitive, but this amendment would explicitly say there is no right to abortion in the Constitution and there is no right to funding abortions - voting no would implicitly grant the right to abortion. Maryland
House Races
MD District 6
Neil Parrott (R) currently serves in the Maryland House of Delegates (MD's lower legislative house). RCP currently rates this race as a toss up.
Question 1: Increase income tax for school funding
Vote no - this increases tax rate from 5 to 9% for income over 1 million for "education and transportation funding", whatever that means (the text of the amendment is vague and uses general words such for what it'd even do with the money).
Question 2: Fixed loss ratios for dental insurance plans

Question 4: Removing proof of citizenship/immigration status for Driver License
Vote no - Voting no repeals a MA House Bill allowing those in the country illegally to obtain drivers licenses and registering motor vehicles.
Proposal 3 - Right to Abortion and Other Reproductive Procedures (Trans).
VOTE NO - Voting no prevents the State Constitution from being amended to enumerate a right to "reproductive freedom" - aka abortion. On closer look reproductive health also covers trans surgery and other hormone treatment WITHOUT parental consent/knowledge.
State Supreme Court
2 seats are up for election for Michigan supreme court, the two conservatives of the bunch are: Brian Zahra -currently sitting on the court. During his tenure so far on the state supreme court, he has ruled and dissented conservatively on the issue of abortion and same-sex unions. Paul Hudson is currently an appellate lawyer in private practice. He has a judicial philosophy that a judge judges and that judge do not create public policy.
Ballot Proposals
Prop 3
Vote no - This codifies abortion, even without parental consent, for reasons stretching as far as "mental health".
Proposal 2
Vote no - allowing for ID free voting, and allows for in person voting before election day.
Proposal 1
Vote no - prop would increases term limits to 12 years in each the house and the senate, compared to 12 years total, and mandates any state political official to release their financial information.
LR-131 - Medical Care Requirements for Born-Alive Infants Measure
VOTE YES VOTE YES - This guarantees the right of infants born alive the right of legal person hood. This is basically if an abortion goes wrong and the baby is born that it will be kept alive and not left to die without medical care.
Adam Lexalt (R) (Veteran) is endorsed by some of the biggest names in national politics - former President Donald Trump and governor Ron DeSantis are among those that have been on the stump in support of Lexalt. Lexalt is an Iraq war veteran and brought his experience to the Attorney General office before his run for US Senate.
Karoline Leavitt (R) is hoping to be Congress’ first Gen Z politician. NH’s 1st district is composed of a strong red county that went to Trump in 2020.
Don Bolduc (R) (Veteran) is a 33-year Army veteran with most of his career fighting in the war on terror in Afghanistan and Africa. Bolduc cut his teeth with public service at 18 when he was hired as a police officer at the age of 18. He is now continuing his commitment to protecting his community by running for Seante.
George Devolder-Santos (R) is a conservative running in this district. Cook Political Report just moved this district into toss-up territory after leaning Democrat. Santos is likely riding a wave from Zeldin's surge on Long Island, which District 3 has a western chunk of).
Mike Lawler (R) is a late-add to this guide as this race just became competitive at the end of October. Lawler currently serves in the New York State Assembly and previously was a small-business owner in Rockland county.
Anthony D'Esposito (R) hopes to unseat incumbent Laura Gillen. D'Esposito is a retired NYPD detective and campaigning on issues close to Nassau County's heart - including public safety and inflation. I could not find concrete polling on this race, but according to unsourced polling by Fox, the district has gone from likely Democratic to leans Democratic. Get out and VOTE!
Brandon Williams (Veteran) (R) is a Gulf-War vet with a strong military and public service background. Among the standard conservative positions we demand from our officials, he puts a strong emphasis on right to life and reigning in big tech. Polling in this district has swung from toss up to leans Reublican - so make sure that this district is red by voting.
Lee Zeldin (Veteran) (R) is giving incumbent Hochul a run for her seat. Zeldin currently serving in the US House of Representatives. Hochul’s office has experienced scandal after scandal, from corruption from her Lt. Governor to her signing unconstitutional gun policies, New York is ready for an adult again.
Tedd Budd (R) is a family man, small business owner and proud Eagle Scout dad. Budd has transformed his small gun store into a small empire composed of shooting ranges and training centers. Now he is bringing his business skills to the U.S. Senate. Trump-endorsed
Two Democrat-held seats on the NC Supreme Court expire - here are the conservative picks: Richard Dietz (R) currently sits on the State Court of Appeals. He has stellar credentials and has litigated free speech cases as well as government mismanagement. Trey Allen (Veteran)(R) is a Constitutional conservative.
Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R) looks set to win her seat in this district following a trend of conservative pick-ups in deep blue states due to failed leftist policies on drugs and homelessness. Ms. Chavez-DeRemer is part of the rise of Hispanic ladies fighting for seats this midterm.
Christine Drazan (R) is a mother of three from rural Southern Oregon dedicated to turning oregon around and away from locking down schools and reversing disastrous decriminalized drug policies. The race is one of the most interesting to watch as Oregon is touted as a leftist strong hold, but Drazan is showing that Oregon has had enough with leftist utopian policies. All major polling has this gubernatorial seat as a toss up.
VOTE NO - This measure adds additional restrictions on firearm ownership, including permitting, magazine restrictions, and selling/transferring. This is an unreasonable restriction on ownership and thus you should vote NO.
Measure 111
VOTE NO - This is an amendment to the State Constitution enumerating a right to healthcare. It appears that this amendment would plunder other state funds to ensure "access" to "affordable" healthcare. Just vote NO.
Allan Fung (R) is Mayor of Cranston, RI and hopes to (and very likely will!) break a Democrat-stranglehold on New England's federal seats. Polling looks very promising, so if you're in The Ocean State, make sure to vote.
VOTE NO - This proposal would amend the Vermont Constitution to include a "Right to Personal Reproductive Autonomy" - aka a right to an abortion. Vote no.
Jen Kiggans (Veteran) (R) is in a tie right now (according to some sources) with incumbent Democrat. This is a Navy town and Kiggans is a veteran that has gone Blue but only by a hair.
Yesli Vega (R) is another of the countless Hispanic women to watch on the right this midterm cycle. She entered law enforcement as a beat cop after experiencing gang violence first hand and is continuing her public service by running to unseat Democrat Abigail Sanberger. This is another district that has gone from leans D to toss up status at the end of October.
Hung Cao (Veteran)(R) is a refugee from Vietnam and entered military service for the United States to pay back all the opportunities America gave him and his family. Hung decided to run for Congress seeing Biden's failed pull out of Afghanistan and seeing similarities to the fall of Saigon.
Joe Kent (Veteran) (R) defeated impeachment voter Jamie Herrera-Buetler in the primary and is now running in the general against Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez.
Matt Larkin (R) is running to unseat 2 term incumbent Democrat and annoying pro-abortion pediatrician Kim Schrier. The seat is hotly contested and internals have it at razor thin margins. Would be a huge get for Republicans, as they lost this seat in 2018 to Schrier and the redistricting made it slightly more blue than it was.
Tiffany Smiley (R) is a former triage nurse and Army wife. Late in October her race became competitive, with polls saying it's a statistical tie and DNC throwing cash at incumbent Murray.
Derrick Van Orden (Veteran) (R) is a retired Navy Seal with a Trump endorsement. Late in the campaign season he's managed to push this seat from leans R to likely R. That's not an excuse though, make sure to show up and vote for this grandpaw of 8!
Tim Michels (Veteran) (R) has just closed the gap to unseat the current Democrat governor. Race is at a statistical tie with about a week of campaigning left to do.

I said I would post this, so here it is! My so-late-it-missed-it-entirely entry for this month's Writing Contest! Hope you enjoy! For Wand of a Present
For the average passerby, Castle Avarius cast a pretty imposing shadow. Towers bristling with spikes loomed overhead, and a large gargoyle glared from its perch above the massive double doors. As if that wasn't enough, the entire building was constructed from the same material, a dark-colored stone that seemed imbued with an ominous aura. But although the Castle looked like a stereotypical villain's lair, the interior was completely different. It was warm and inviting, much more like a normal family home. Well, except for the basement downstairs. That place was essentially the same as the castle exterior. Unfortunately, it was also the destination of the Castle's butler. "Victor?" "I'm down here, Jerry," came the reply. "In the plotting chamber." Jerry let out a weary sigh. Honestly, he didn't know why he didn't check here first. The teenage Prince Avarius was rarely found outside his 'plotting chamber'. The lanky troll opened the basement door, and was suddenly face-to-face with a grinning skeleton. "GAAAHHHH!!" Right, that's why he never checked this place. "Jerry, quit playing with that skeleton and get over here!" Victor snapped impatiently, flipping up a welding mask. "Yes, sir," Jerry replied, his heart still pounding from the jumpscare. "Right away." Once the troll picked himself off the ground, he made his way to the other side of the basement where Victor stood waiting. Victor Avarius was a curious child, in more ways than one. From a young age, his mind was brimming with questions about the world and how it worked, and on occasion the meaning of life. He wanted to know exactly how everything fit together. Including himself. Unfortunately, many of his self-exploratory questions proved unanswerable. Being the son of Lord Ludo Avarius and Lady Truffle of Septarsis, Victor was the first Septarian-Kappa hybrid in recorded history. Biologically speaking, no one quite knew what to expect from him, and the few experts available could only give him theories. His childhood essentially reduced to pure uncertainty, Victor's curiosity grew into a relentless thirst for knowledge. He tested himself extensively, seeking each and every limit to his potential. Add in the dramatic flair he inherited from his father (as well as several other factors), and Victor came to see himself as something of a villainous character. In his own words: "I crave knowledge, and knowledge is power. Ergo, I crave power, which by definition makes me a villain." Though pretty much everyone else agreed Victor was harmless. "I did it, Jerry," Victor giggled happily. "It's finally finished!" "What's finished, sir?" Jerry asked, silently praying it wasn't another 'superweapon'. "Only the most ingenious device ever conceived!" Victor crowed triumphantly, turning on a nearby projector. "BEHOLD!!" Jerry wasn't entirely sure what he was looking at. "Are you BEHOLD-ing?" "I'm beholding," the troll butler replied quickly. "But, uhh... what is it?" The image depicted a rod-like contraption, with one end splaying out like a small horn or bell. Jewels dotted along the splayed end, and the entire rod was covered in a jagged red and gold pattern that was somewhat familiar. "It's a wand." Jerry took a moment to clean his ear. "I'm sorry sir, but did you just say that was a wand?" "Well, not a real wand," Victor corrected himself. "More of a toy, really. It's for Lu's birthday." That explained a lot, actually. Luminosa Diaz, daughter of Sir Marco and Star Diaz, was one of Victor's closest- and only- friends. Like her mother before her, Luminosa was something of a free spirit, marching only to the beat of her own drum. But she was also very caring and thoughtful, going out of her way to cheer people up. Which was one of the reasons she was often found playing the role of Victor's heroic nemesis, thwarting his latest 'schemes' (That, and their parents saw their games as a great form of exercise). "But why a wand?" "I'm so glad you asked, J-dog." Victor rubbed his hands together excitedly. "As you already knew, Luminosa will be turning fourteen this year. And in the days of magic, every Butterfly Princess received the Royal Wand on her fourteenth birthday. It's a tradition older than the Butterfly Kingdom itself, according to Grandfather's journal." "I thought your parents told you to get rid of that," Jerry mumbled, eyeing the old leatherbound book with dread. The historical information in that journal may be priceless, but no Mewnian native would trust the word of its author. Even if that slimy lizard had been dead for over thirty years. "But now that the magic is gone," Victor continued, "the Royal Wand has lost its power. And call me crazy, but I doubt Lu would want an old broken stick for her birthday." "So you're going to give her a toy instead?" "A toy unlike any other," Victor's crimson eyes practically glowed with pride as he held a model identical to the projected image. "The cerebral scanner in the handle reads your brainwaves, then the three-dimensional projector creates realistic holograms based on your thoughts. Anything you can imagine, this baby can make it happen." "For instance," with a malevolent grin, the Prince pointed his creation at Jerry, "if I imagine blasting you with a fireball..." Instantly, an orange ball of flames shot from the toy and hurtled towards Jerry. The troll dove out of its path, but the fireball simply passed through the wall without leaving a single scorch mark. "What do you think? Pretty cool, right?" Victor beamed. "And you didn't even get hurt this time!" "That last part could be debated," Jerry quietly grumbled before prying his face from the basement's solid stone floor. Thankfully, his pain tolerance was extremely high- and his generous worker's comp more than made up for anything else. "It is very cool, sir," he added, this time loud enough to hear. Victor's reply was oddly dejected. "Of course, it could be better. I wanted the toy to make solid constructs as well, but, well," he gestured to a row of blackened electronics and twisted metal pieces. "Turns out there's a reason hardlight projectors don't exist yet." "I was wondering what happened to those," Jerry remarked. "Look, sir, don't worry about that. I'm sure Luminosa will love it anyways." "Of course she'll love it!" Victor brushed him off. "My gift is perfect. Now go fetch me a box and wrapping paper!" "Yes, sir," the butler groaned. [Scheduled] Evergreen - The Night Circus - Discussion - London 1901 - Finale / Epilogue
For scenes of the absurd, you have come to the right place! This circus arrives without warning. No announcement precede it. It is simply here when yesterday it was not. Today is the last day to see our special characters, as many have tossed their hat into the ring. It has been a treasure to read with everyone! I always enjoy read running, because of the grand discussions that get to happen. All of my enthusiasm that I have during a read is shared between you all. It is something that makes my hear happy. Below is a summary of the tale, but please feel free to add your own take, questions, quotes, or ideas about this section in the comments! As this is an evergreen, a reread of a story that we have previously read, here is a link to the first discussion from 2012. The original Night Circus Discussion from 10 years ago. Before we begin our summaries, as the ringmaster, I would like to remind everyone of our spoiler policy. Please be mindful of spoilers and use the spoiler tags appropriately. To indicate a spoiler, enclose the relevant text with the > ! and ! < characters (there is no space in-between). It would look like this, darling. In Summary... London, 1901 At the circus, everything is decorated for Halloween including guests wearing masks. Marco confirms with Isobel that he is in love with Celia. She knew it was coming because of her tarot card reading. As he is leaving, he draws tarot one last time and the card he drew was La Papessa. Isobel recalls Marco telling Mr. A.H. that everything that has been one in the circus was for Celia, and she has been helping by keeping the players balanced. Concord, MA 1902 Poppet is concerned that Bailey’s feelings are hurt because she asked him not to come unless he was joining the circus. She tells Widget that she kissed him. Widget considered kidnapping Bailey and dragging him to the circus and onto the train before he gains consciousness. Poppet isn’t impressed with that idea as they have done all that they can. So, they must wait on Bailey now. London, 1901 Chandresh is at the circus, wearing a mask, and easily disguised in the crowd. Mr. A.H. is also at the circus this same night for the first time, but he isn’t wearing a mask. Chandresh begins following him, but loses him several times due to the crowd. Mr. A.H. is not aware that he is being followed, and Marco has disguised himself so his boss (Chandresh) doesn’t notice him. Throughout the evening as all three gentlemen are playing some type of game…Chandresh stops and closely watches Mr. A.H. Chandresh takes his knife and throws it aiming for him, but Mr. A.H. moves at the last second and lodges itself into the chest of Herr Friedrick Thiessen. After the incident, Chandresh is confused about what happened and has no recollection the next day. Concord, MA 1902 As Bailey is preparing to leave, he stops by the oak tree to grab Poppet’s white glove. He also collects his life savings. He writes a note to his parents that explains why he is leaving. His sister catches him before he leaves. He explains that he is leaving and asks for her to look out for the sheep…etc. As Bailey begins to head towards the circus it is a lot later than he expected and it is gone. London 1901 As Mr. A.H. is leaving the circus he is met by Hector Bowen. He is not happy with how exposed the venue is, which makes it difficult for competition. Hector thinks it is fun the way things are going. Maybe Hector hasn’t noticed that Marco and Celia are in love. Mr. A.H. then says to Hector that Celia will most likely be the 8th competitor to forfeit the game. Though Hector believes that Celia is a stronger player than Marco. As the two go back and forth about the competition, Celia can be heard sobbing over Thiessen’s death. Since she is so upset about someone dying, she is obviously weak. Later on, Marco is home and going through his papers and books. He is taking notes and studiously working. Celia appears at his house, visibly upset and covered in blood. She tried to heal Thiessen, and since she has known him so long and well that it would be done. She couldn’t do it. Marco explains that something threw the circus off balance, but Celia knows it was Isobel who helped with the charm on the circus. Celia invited Mr. A.H. to the circus because she wanted him to declare a winner and finish the competition. Celia just wants to be with Marco, so finishing the competition is her goal. Marco isn’t sure why Chandresh was at the circus, but was concerned he would hurt himself. So, he kept tabs on him that evening, but kept losing him due to the crowd. Marco never imagined tha Chandresh would hurt another. Celia questions Marcos notebooks as they are full of symbols and notes. He explains that is how he works, and has bound everyone to the circus. He places them in the bonfire at the circus as a safeguard. He is sad and wishes he would have included Thiessen. Marco shows Celia another room that is full of models of tents, fabric, and many different models of the circus. As they continue talking, Celia shares that she doesn’t care what Hector thinks anymore. Marco offers to speak with Mr. A.H. so he can choose a verdict of a winner. They are both hopeful that the death of Thiessen could be a disqualification. Celia wants to stop talking about the competition, she is tired of holding things together for the circus. She keeps denying what she wants to control the uncontrollable. The two share an intimate moment, and once Marco wakes up Celia is gone. She left her ring behind, which Marco places on his pinky finger. Later on he notices that she also took his notebook. Part IV Hector stops Celia as she is leaving with the notebook, and calls her a, “deceitful little slut.” He reminds her that she isn’t able to interfere with the competition. She questions if the point of the game is to see who handles repercussions of magic the best way. He confirms that the competition is a test of strength, stamina, and control rather than skill. Celia realizes how the competition is supposed to end. The winner is the one left standing after the opponent can no longer play. She wants to know what will happen to the circus after the competition is over. Hector reminds her that it is a venue, there is no other purpose. He tells her that the last player to win was Tsukiko, the circus contortionist. The circus is traveling from London to Munich. Celia goes to talk with Tsukiko in her train compartment. When Celia goes in, Isobel is also there crying. Isobel steps out and tells Celia she is sorry for Thiessen’s death as she walks by. Celia asks why Tsukiko has never told her that she won the competition before. Tsukiko shows her scar that is around the nape of her neck, which looks similar compared to Celia’s which is around her finger. Tsukiko shares that she stayed at the circus because she enjoyed working with Chandresh, thought the venue was unique, and wanted to stay and observe. Celia wants to know more about the competition. Though all Tsukiko shares is that it is about more than magic, and everything is a part of the competition, while it is something that each contest carries within themselves. Tsukiko wonders if Celia is in love with Marco, she quickly admits to it. Though Tsukiko questions if Marco loves Celia. She compares that Isobel also thought Marco loved her. Celia insists that Marco loves her, but now she begins to doubt it. Tsukiko suggests that he may be good at manipulation and lying to people. Celia feels awful about one of them having to die for the competition and the fact that she could mean nothing to Marco. Tsukiko explains there is a fine line between partner and opponent, it is difficult to know which side Marco is on. Celia wants the circus to continue after the competition. Though it being completely independent of Celia and Marco’s magic will be difficult. Celia has taken on a lot of responsibility for the circus to run properly. If Celia were injured the train would crash. If the bonfire were to extinguish there would also be issues. Tsukiko will not help Celia, but will take over if she cannot complete the job herself in regard to unattaching from the circus. TSukiko shares that her opponent is a pillar of ash in Kyoto that may have been blown away by the wind. Concord and Boston 1902 Bailey walks into the empty field that once held the circus. He can’t believe that the circus would leave without him. He runs to the closest train station to find no trains but two people dressed in black coats with red scarves. The three of them are all trying to follow the circus, which helps them bond immediately. They are awaiting news of where the next destination of the circus will be. Lorena and Victor are following the circus around North America. Elizabeth, another fan, joins in waiting. The four arrive in Boston and will stay at the Parker House all together. Victor and Lorena take Bailey out to buy a suit. He gets a grey suit, a pair of shoes, and a hat. Once they return to the hotel, there are several fans sitting for dinner. Lorena gives Bailey a pop of re by placing a red rose in his lapel, which makes him a true fan. Over dinner it is shared that the circus hasn’t been the same since Thiessen has passed. Everyone shares stories of his writing, his greatness, and great personality. Since he passed exactly one year on the night of this dinner, they all toast to him. After the toast, Victor finds out that the circus will be in New York next. Montreal 1902 Marco comes to visit Celia and asks why she stole his notebook. She apologizes, but he just wishes she would have asked. He also is hurt that she left without saying goodbye.She shares that she is trying to make the circus independent, so it is not connected to them nor the challenge. She wants the circus to continue because too many people love it or are connected to it. Celia expresses that she feels he isn’t being honest with her, since he wasn’t honest with Isobel or Chandresh. Especially since he has reason to be dishonest with her as they are opponents. Marco was with Isobel because he was young and lonely, but what he has with Celia is true and intense. Celia doesn’t want to suffer the same way that her mother did with Hector. Though as she is leaving Marco, he feels that she is doing what Hector did to her mother. She keeps leaving him when he wants her to stay, and it is killing him. Celia shares that the competition has to kill one of them–the survivor will be the winner. The competition is a test of endurance, not of skill. She wants to take herself off the board, so the game can end. Marco wants to keep playing the game, but Celia can’t hold on any longer. She would rather that Marco just win. He doesn’t want to win, he just wants Celia. Marco transforms the room into the first time he knew that he loved her, to the scene of Chandresh’s house at a Midnight Dinner when they were dancing in the ballroom. Celia tells him that she also knew she loved him at that moment. Marco begins begging her not to leave him. Though, Celia knows that there are too many people involved with the circus, like flies stuck in a web, that they can’t disentangle themselves. Before she leaves, she asks Marco to not come around her anymore. Celia begins deciphering Marco’s notebook. Hector is there watching her, and calls the notebook a god-awful mess. He attempts to talk Celia up, by saying that she is well beyond the magic that Marco uses. Reminding her that she is far more intelligent than the behavior that she is using now. She also brings up the night that Theissen died. She thought that there should not be any interference. Those rules only apply for the opponents and he can interfere at any time he wants. He tells her not to make any connections with the people at the circus since they will die anyway. She tells him she hates him and he vanishes. Marco summons Mr. A.H. tells him that Celia thinks one of the competitors has to die for the game to be over. He confirms. Marco believes that winning would be worse than losing. Mr.A.H. reminds him that his feelings for Celia are making the challenge difficult. As the train is heading to New York, the twins go visit Celia to tell her that there is a problem. Bailey was supposed to come along with them. Though since they left early they may have missed him. Poppet shares she has had a vision but it isn’t clear and nothing has made sense for some time. The vision that she does have is there is something bright, everything was on fire, and Bailey was there. She can’t see past that. Celia tells Poppet that she can’t do anything if she doesn’t have more information. Celia does try to put Poppet in a trance with a pocket watch. Poppet is able to visualize a fire starting from the bonfire, but bigger and uncontained. There is a loud noise, Celia is there with someone else. Bailey is there after the fire. The man she sees is tall, wearing a grey suit and a bowler hat. The vision happens in London, so it is not an immediate situation. Bailey takes the first train to New York. Lorena and Victor have taken a liking to him, especially since he reminds them of Thiessen. Elizabeth sits with him and knits him a red scarf since it was meant for him. Once they arrive, Bailey thinks everything looks so different! He is far away from home. The circus has arrived, but since there is a storm the circus is closed. Bailey hears a crashing noise around midnight, it was so loud it shook the house, followed by smoke and a bright flash of light. Bailey runs out of the house towards the direction of the tents. London Isobel is waiting for Marco to return. He wonders why she is in London, because she should be back in the U.S. She has left the circus after Celia granted her permission. She is sorry that she didn’t tell him she was tempering the circus and feels guilty. She knew that Celia was in love with someone, but assumed it was Thiessen, not knowing it was Marco. Isobel feels that Celia lost him because of her. They both explain their true feelings of one another. Marco never loved her, but was infatuated with her. While Isobel did love him and thought he reciprocated. She thought that if Celia was gone, then he would come back to her. Isobel shares that she recently read for a young man (Bailey), and his future is the circus. She thinks that he can save Marco. Informing him that there was a chance for Marco to be with Celia, but the timing isn’t right. She receives balck crystals from her pocket, blows them in his face, causing him to disappear. Once he is gone she takes his briefcase and walks away. New York Bailey arrives at the circus, but it is closed due to inclement weather. He smells something burned and wet, which makes him sick to his stomach. He enters, wandering around and looking for Poppet. Everything is empty. He finds the cauldron, but the fire isn’t burning for him. Tsukiko is there and tells him there was an explosion, but the tent did not burn. Celia must have fireproofed them. Since she is only the messenger, she will take him to meet with someone. She leads him to a tent, “Fearsome Beasts and Strange Creatures, Wonders in Paper and Mist.” Bailey enters the tent alone. Marco appears at the circus at nearly midnight. He sees Tsukiko near the ticket booth and they greet one another. He wonders how Isobel transported him from London and she tells him she taught her that trick. She tells him that everyone is at an inclement-weather party. Tsukiko shares that Mr. A.H. was also her teacher and she was surprised that he used the circus as a venue since he prefers seclusion. She also shares that their teachers do not understand what it means to be tied to another person. “They think it simple to pit two any people against each other,” but the competitors define themselves through each other. He shares that he loves Celia more than anything in the world. Tsukiko shares that she loved her opponent just as much. Her name was Hinata and she set herself on fire. Marco feels awful about the situation that Tsukiko was in. She lets him know that Celia was planning to do something similar for him so that he can win, but she doesn’t wish that pain on him. The tents at the circus are love letters between Marco and Celia, they have built them for one another. Tsukiko was reminded of her opponent Hinata and regrets lying to Celia of love being fickle and fleeting. She felt it would be easier if Celia held doubt against Marco’s love. Tsukiko gave Celia a year to find a way for the circus to continue without her and plans to step in now. Though, Celia just needs a little more time. Marco uses the fire as a tool, while Celia carries the circus within herself, so losing Celia would be too big of a loss. Marco tells her that he would rather burn by Celia’s side than live without her. Marco tells Tsukiko to carry out her plan and she lights the fire. Celia runs to Marco, they embrace, and they dissolve into the air before the bonfire explodes. They are gone and the circus is left in flames. Celia notices that she is whole, but everyone around her is transparent. She is looking for Marco but can’t find him. She feels him somewhere, and wanders around the labyrinth to find him. Marco is in the Ice Garden, when he tries to touch a rose his hand passes through it. Celia and Marco unite and she shares that she couldn’t let him go without her. She used the circus as a touchstone, not knowing if it would work but she had to try it. He is so happy to be with her, but when he looks around he notices that the Ice Garden is melting. The bonfire went out since she was the one holding everything together. She realizes how difficult it was to manage without the bonfire, but if she lets go everything will collapse. She has suspended it and is awaiting a new caretaker. Bailey enters the tent that Tsukikko led him to. He sees a man who looks transparent, which is Marco. Bailey wonders if he is dead, but turns out he isn’t. Bailey learns that Tsukiko tried to imprison Marco in the bonfire, but there was a change of plans. Marco asks Bailey to follow him, but he asks where they are going. Marco shares that someone is waiting for him at The Wishing Tree. He notices Celia who is similar in transparency as Marco. Celia introduces herself and asks for help in taking over the circus because it needs a new caretaker to survive. Bailey asks if he is the new caretaker. Celia expresses that it would be great if he took on that role and they would be able to help him, though he would ultimately be responsible for it. Before Bailey accepts the new responsibility, Celia wants to ensure that he does not feel any pressure or obligation. Wondering what would happen if he walked away, Celia tells him that the circus would not survive. To take on the responsibility, Bailey will need to re-light the fire for the bonfire. He can leave the circus, but not for extended periods of time, since he will be bound to it. Bailey realizes that this is a bigger commitment than Harvard or the farm. He knows that this is something he wants. Marco takes off his silver ring, passes a candle along it until it is hot and places it in his palm. Marco shares that it was his wish he used. Now that it is Bailey’s turn to relight the cauldron so he follows a series of steps: states Celia's instructions, wraps items up in yarn, and throws them in the cauldron. Then impulsive he pulls things out of his pockets, his silver ticket, the rose from his lapel, Poppet’s white glove, and adds it to the cauldron. He pulls out the glass bottle with the memory of his oak tree and adds it. Finally, lighting a candle from The Wishing Tree and wishes harder than ever before. Once the flames catch, he is blown back onto the ground by the force. From inside the Wishing Tree tent, Celia and Marco watch the circus come back to life as they embrace. Part V London Poppet is at Chandresh’s house, she wants him to sign over ownership of the circus. There is a list of names, Mr. Barris, Lainie Brugess, and Mr. clarke. He ends up signing the document and she thanks him. There are some blueprints that he has, but they don’t make sense. Poppet reorganizes them and shares that it is for a museum, not for the building that they are currently in. Chandresh wonders where Marco went, she shares that his departure was not planned and he regrets not being able to finish things up with him. Poppet lets him know that he also left to be with Celia, which makes him happy. He then decides to dedicate a room of the museum to them, a room with round walls and a koi pond in the center. Poppet brought him a present, a small black and white kitten named Ara. Poppet clears his mind as they spend hours working on the blueprints for the museum. Paris Widget is with Mr. A.H. He notes that stories have changed. There are no more battles between good and evil, no quests with clear goals, and happy endings. The stories now overlap and blur. Widget says Celia has helped him learn some patterns, which Mr. A.H. comments that she is a better teacher than Hector. She is a very different person than her father. The competitions became more complex over time. The teachers began to pit their students against one another to strengthen their stamina. Mr. A.H. notes that the most recent competition was interesting, since Celia found a clever way to get them out of it. He admits that Marco was the best student that he has ever had. Widget shares that Marco and Celia are not dead, but they are inside of the circus. They are confined within a space that will grow and change around them. Marco has forgiven Mr. A.H. for the cruel tactics he used because he now has Celia. Perhaps the students chosen were matched too well and can never be separated. Mr. A.H. has accepted his inevitability of mortality and wishes the same for Celia and Marco. The competition has not been properly completed due to the unforeseen circumstances. Widget is there to tie up loose ends and take over the circus. Mr. A.H. doesn’t think it is that simple, it would be better to just let things fade away. Though the people involved deserve to continue with the circus since he put them all at risk for a bet with Hector…. Widget takes a sip of wine and begins his story: “The circus arrives without warning.” Finale / Epilogue In the future, someone roams the circus in the pre-dawn hours, wondering how to spend the final moments before closing. Turning to look at the clock, they notice beneath it there is a memorial plaque, with the names of Friederick Stefan Thiessen and Chandresh Christophe Lefevre. TV shows, beyond Gaki no Tsukai, that each regular member appears (Updated list)
I've posted an article with a list of other shows which each regular member of Gaki appears, but that post was from 2 years ago. Many shows had ended and new shows had appeared since then. So, I'll do a 2022 version of that list. Many people here only knows Gaki No Tsukai, Documental (which is a Amazon Prime special) and its adaptations for Fuji TV (Ikemental and Joshimental), Suiyobi no Downtown and other old shows as Gottsu Ee Kanji. Basically full Downtown or Matsumoto only shows. So this list wil be useful for who want to know about Hamada's solo shows, Cocorico and Housei works and other Matsumoto or the whole Downtown shows. I'll consider TV only, free-to-air or BS channels (satellite television). Streaming sites as Abema or Amazon Prime won't be counted here. Downtown Owarai Academy Sho For make it easier for me I'll antecipate you some facts. First of all: ALL DOWNTOWN SHOWS ARE LEADED BY THEMSELVES. Matsumoto and Hamada rarely co-host a show with another comedian than their respective partners and if it happens, they must to be the leader of the host team. Downtown works are basically for TBS and Fuji TV. Most of TV stations (NHK, NTV, TV Asahi and TV Tokyo) avoids them, especially Matsumoto. And 99% of Downtown shows (including Gaki no Tsukai) are produced by Yoshimoto Kogyo, the company which all Gaki regulars works for. As a duo, Downtown didn't gained any new regular show from 2020 until now. They still has Suiyobi no Downtown (or Wednesday Downtown. From TBS) and Downtown DX (read as "Downtown Deluxe", shorten as DTDX. From YTV). But new special shows had appeared, both from TBS. The shows are Owarai no Hi (Owarai Day) and Owarai Academy Sho. Owarai no Hi is a annual super special with several comedy shows. Downtown are the general hosts. They also appear at King of Conte (shorten as KOC) the most famous conte (skit) competition of nowadays which Hamada hosts and Matsumoto is one of the judges. Depending on the special, Downtown appears in another show inside Owarai no Hi. By the way, the next Owarai no Hi will be at this saturday, 10/8. Stay tuned to TBS. Owarai Academy Sho is a year-end award ceremony for comedians who did things as having a busy year, acted well (in TBS dramas), became very popular, etc. It's inspired on Nippon Academy Sho (Japan Film Prize/Japan Academy Awards). Beyond these shows, Downtown still appears as a full duo on: Dream Touzai Neta Gassen (TBS) and HEY! HEY! NEO! Music Champ (TBS). Crazy Journey Matsumoto Matsumoto still works at Wide na Show (Fuji TV), Tantei Knight Scoop (ABC TV) and Hitoshi Matsumoto No Sake no Tsumami Ni Naru Hanashi (Fuji TV). The last one was formely Downtown Now, hosted by Matsumoto and Hamada, this one left the show, and Matsumoto leaded it alone. At April, 2021, the show changed it concept and the name. He will start to appear at Crazy Journey (TBS) with Shitara Osamu from Bananaman and the actress Koike Eiko. Crazy Journey is a travel show, originally broadcasted from 2015 to 2019. The show was suspended due to broadcasting ethics scandals. And guess which organization was behind on it? The Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization (BPO)! The same organization which is fighting againist painful laughter (and it's affecting the Gaki no Tsukai classic Batsu Games). Yeah, BPO is Matsumoto's worst nightmare since 2019... For explain the case briefly, Crazy Journey staff was cheating on challenges results preparing certain things before the recording and telling those was done at the show. TBS suspended Crazy Journey broadcasting for the investigation, and BPO's Broadcasting Ethics Verification Committee determined that there was a broadcasting ethics violation that could not be overlooked even with a voluntary response, depending on the degree of the broadcasting ethics violation. Crazy Journey had its revival as a special at 2021, and at October, 17 it will be back as a regular show. Matsumoto has also a long list of special shows: M-1 Grand Prix (ABC TV), Hitoshi Matsumoto no Suberanai Hanashi (Fuji TV), IPPON Grand Prix (Fuji TV), Macchanneru (Fuji TV), King Of Conte no Kai (TBS), FNS Laugh & Music (Fuji TV), Matsumo To Nakai ~Matching-na Yoru~ (Fuji TV), Shinsa-in-cho Matsumoto Hitoshi (TBS), Fukuoka Hitoshi, Matsumoto × Kurose Ad-lib drive (FBS, local show). About Macchanneru, that's the show which Ikemental and Joshimental are broadcasted. It's a partnership between Fuji TV and Amazon Prime. King of Conte no Kai is a special under KOC label, which Matsumoto and KOC contestants appears. It's the first Matsumoto conte show after Matsumoto Hitoshi no Conte - MHK, broadcasted at NHK 11 years ago. By the way, MHK was the first Matsumoto conte show after Gottsu Ee Kanji, which was ended at 1997. Gottsu Ee Kanji was the first biggest Downtown show (Gaki no Tsukai wasn't big at that time) which had a high audience average, King of Conte no Kai is also a success. But MHK was a big failure! Probably because Matsumoto and NHK has too opposite styles. Hamada JUNK Sports Hamada didn't received new regular shows, but he still works at Hama-chan Ga (YTV), Prebat (MBS), Gobu Gobu (MBS), JUNK Sports (Fuji TV) and Ookami no Shounen (TBS). Any loose for regular shows. The list of special shows of Hamada is really shorter than Matsumoto's. He hosts a new year special show called Hamada Shinshun Bakugai Tour (YTV) aired at the first day of the year. He also works on Geinojin Kakudzuke Check (ABC TV). Hamada worked at the quiz special Trinik tte Nan'no Niku? (ABC TV), but it ended at this year. Housei Cheeky's Evening Now it's the sad part of this post. Most of Housei current shows are broadcasted in Kansai region only. Owarai Wide Show Marco Porori (Kantele) and Osaka Honkawa TV. He also appears on the Happo, Jinnai, Housei Oogon Retsuden (YTV), which is broadcasted irregularly. Cocorico fans knows Oogon Retsuden very well due to an appearance of the duo there which they told their story. Housei appeared as the thursday personality at Cheeky's Cast 1 from BS Yoshimoto (BSY) from april to september of this year. But the show ended fast... From october Housei is appearing at Cheeky's Evening (BSY), also as a thursday personality. There's 2 reasons for Housei having few appearances on nationwide TV. The first is because since he became a rakugo-ka (a Japanese traditional comedian) his popularity decreased gradually, rakugo is not very popular nowadays. The second reason is because Housei lives in Osaka, and all natiowide stations headquarters are located in Tokyo, which is too far from Osaka. Many comedians who debuts in Osaka moves to Tokyo when their popularity is starting to grow. So if you want to appear a lot in TV, you must to live in Tokyo, or near from there. According one of Housei's daughters' (I don't remember who) letter (No Laughing Earth Force Defense), he moved to Osaka with his family because there is safier than Tokyo. Really nice of him putting his family safety first even if it could prejudice his career. For curiosity, Housei has 3 kids, 2 daughters, Momo, born in 2002, and Rara, born in 2003. And the youngest son Tenma, born in 2012. Momo and Rara are adults (adult age in Japan is from the 18 years now) already and Tenma has 10 years... Time flies!!! Cocorico Appearing as guests at Aozora Manten no Restaurant, hosted by Miyagawa Daisuke Sadly, 2 years passed and Endo and Tanaka still haven't a regular show together. They didn't leaded any special program. All they did together beyond Gaki and Cocorico Channel is appearing on TV shows as guests. The number of these appearances increased in 2022. And it's nice to point that Cocorico has a power of make the audience ratings increase. Even on mid-popularity shows. Specialists theorizes it as a result of TV stations trying to cut down some expenses. It's plausible. The pandemic brought finnancial issues to everyone. including the TV stations. Cocorico is a popular veteran duo, so, their income is more expensive than a more "rookie" duo. Many popular veteran duos who haven't the "comedy gods" status are ignored by the TV stations. Another reason is the Japanese TV stations trying to conquer back the viewership of the teenagers, who are leftting the TV for watch YouTube, TikTok and streaming sites. Younger comedians are more popular between teenagers. Downtown is an exception because they work in many shows which most of the guests are popular between teenagers, so they get a visibility (Of course their talent is another reason, but if talent were all, Cocorico would have at least one show beyond Gaki for now). I'll tell you: those strategies are a failure! The audience ratings of those shows are terrible!! The reasons are: boring content, mid/low/no-talented comedians who are most known by teenagers and the comedians who appears at those shows had saturated their images. Being busy is seen as a clear signal of popularity. And if you have many works, you'll have more money (rookies have lower incomes, remember?). So, duos as Chidori, Kamaitachi, Chocolate Planet, Magical Lovely, etc appears at numerous TV shows everyday, everytime... as regulars... as guests... at any TV station or streaming site. They accept everything that appears. There's no limits. Personal life? Family? Health? It doesn't matter for them! So imagine turn on the TV and seeing the same faces 24/7, without being neither a fan of them or chose to watch a show of them (pointing their talent, which is from mid level to below). Of course the people would get tired of these overworking comedians. TV stations are noticing it and putting the veterans for leading the shows again by little. So we can expect that Cocorico will do a plot twist some day, and the first regular program with them, or the first special leaded by them, after this hiatus will caught a lot of attention. Maybe that's the reason why BSY didn't solved this problem putting them on its shows. Yoshimoto wants Cocorico comeback on a relevant nationwide station. Not on a BS channel. Endo Endo Shozo Vs Golf Now it's the boring part of the post because all of Endo TV shows are about golf!! Endo's situation is worse than Housei's because, excluding Gaki, he has no regular shows at TV. His shows are Endo Shozo Vs Golf (Sun TV, a BS channel) which is divided in seasons, Endo Shozo no Ike-otoko Ike-onna Iketeru GOLF! (Sun TV), and Minna de Golf (TV Tokyo) which is a special. Endo also hosted a one episode special of NHK BS, Golf Densetsu no Play. TV Tokyo and NHK specials are works from 2022, Endo get more busy at this year. By the way, work for NHK is a good step for Endo, who isn't so active in that station as Tanaka. Nobody wants to talk about golf, so let's go ahead! Tanaka Ike no Mizu For end this post well, let's talk about Tanaka. While Endo has no many programs, Tanaka is very busy!! He's the only Gaki regular who appears in all of biggest Japanese TV stations! He has only one local broadcasting show, the saturday edition of Tobikkiri Shizuoka (Shizuoka Asahi TV - SATV), and he has no limits for program genres. Tanaka always challenges himself doing various types of TV shows. And we can't forget his many appearances in dramas, highlighting The 13 Lords Of The Shogun, the taiga drama from NHK which he had appeared for some months. A challenging role which made Tanaka even more popular and increased the drama appearances opportunities for the rookie comedians. His nationwide regular shows are Academy Night G (TBS) a cinema/theater talk show which he hosts, Non Style had appeared there many times, Nippon Zenkoku Nandemo Koshien (BSY) an educational show which he's also the host, I Am Bouken Shounen (TBS) an adventure variety show which he's the co-host, he gained some highlight at that show lately, Tokoro Japan (Kantele) which he appears biweekly and is the paneler, and an upcoming educational show for kids, Saihakken! Mikke Banashi (BSY) which will start at October, 9. Tanaka is one of the few artists who appears in more than one show from BSY (which features only Yoshimoto artists). Both of BSY shows are from 2022. He also appears on Ike no Mizu (TV Tokyo) which is broadcasted monthly, since the production drains the water of a poluted pond which Tanaka, other artists and a whole staff team rescue the creatures before a deep cleaning being done. This show is really popular in Japan having high TV rating. Tanaka also appears at LIFE! (NHK) a conte show which was the successor of Matsumoto Hitoshi no Conte. This show is a success and one of the main works of Tanaka. Most of NHK viewers associate Tanaka's image to LIFE! At 2021 LIFE! changed its concept having an episode per season of the year. Every episode has a different cast, repeating some comedians only, Tanaka was usually cutted out of LIFE! cast, even with disappointed voices of Japanese people which wanted to see Tanaka at LIFE! But at 2022, Tanaka had appeared in all LIFE! episodes as the old days, pointing that Tanaka is having a very active year on NHK appearing at LIFE! on dramas and as a guest on TV shows, most of those are educational shows. Sound City Music Festival in San Marcos Texas with a message from Robert "Beto" O'Rourke
Come on out to Texas State University for Dave Grohl, Beto O’Rourk and Danny Devito’s Sound City Players Presents “ Covid Nu ENUii: Electric Boogaloo. It’s a festival celebrating the diminishing Covid rates and the freedom that we love as Texans. We’re here to Keep Texas Weird and Make America Bright again with support from America’s billionaires. “I challenge my opponents and the billionaires of the world to match the donations of the little people who they look down on. There will be games and events held by Texas State Professors to showcase their particular expertise. There will be free food provided by Gumby’s of San Marcos, Craigo’s Pizza of Austin, Rosie’s Pizza of Seguin, Chuys and Pluckers of Austin.. There will be food trucks, give aways and silent auctions throughout the flea market in the HEB parking lot with swag from HEB, If you have something to sell or barter or say or do, do it. It’s a do as you feel day. There will be emergency workers and the unsung heroes of the pandemic the contractors and unions who worked night and day to keep you safe and alive with representatives dressed as Santa. There will be a meet and greet with the Fantastic 5. Bill Clinton will be performing with the Texas State music program performing the Harlem Nutcracker by Duke Ellington. “It’s been years since I’ve had a good blow.” smirtks President Clinton. President JC’s Habitat for humanity will be building and offering free repairs to the people of Texas. George Bush will be offering a painting class and lecturing on the horrors of 9/11 and what he could have done better to help the Afghani and Iraqi people for the mistakes he made. Everyone will get a picture of a fallen soldier to transpose onto canvas as George Bush laments and apologizes for the wrongs he created as president. Al Gore will be giving lectures on climate change and Beto will be holding a MAGA meet and greet. The entire goal of this years proceedings are to provide work and rehabilitation for those kidnapped by the justice system or who found themselves homeless and drug addled. Ru Paul will be hosting a Queer Eye for the straight guy competition to see who can give the best make over for the homeless whose lives we are improving. with the Contestants from Drag Race. Rachel Ray, Kelly Clarkson, Willy Nelson, Alden Brown, Martah Stewart and Snoop Dog will be premiering their new youtube series, “Cooking with Cannabis.” There will be rehabilitation trucks, blood donations, vaccines and vets, trainers and behaviourists. This is a drug free environment with plain clothed police throughout the festival. There will be no weapons allowed and metal detectors set before every venue. It turns out Chris Rock was wrong, always go to parties with metal detectors because at least you know you’ll be safe inside. Fortunately, there will be police offering shooting lessons so that everyone can be licensed and registered with DPS. Everyone- including former felons should be able to Constitutionally own guns. But, thanks to the Books for Crooks initiative, our representatives chose to kill two birds with one stone and train police concurrently with civilians. Police and civilains alike will be side by side in criminal justice, theater and dance classes held by the wonderfully knowledgeable professors in the fine arts department. World renowned fight Choreographer will be offering stage combat demonstrations and the importance of maintaining control while Stage Combat Professor Toby Minor to help with police reform and bodily control to deescalate situations “I regret my emotions taking over when I spoke out about guns. I let my emotions take control of me because of the atrocities I witnessed. I worked my butt off beause I genuinely care about Texas. I want to do right by you. I want to make music with you and jam with you and talk about drugs and addiction with you because, as your governor, all I want is to keep my constituents happy healthy and fill all of their basic needs. Nobody should be homeless or jobless because we have plenty to do to fix the country but those who don’t wish to represent you want to destroy the little guy and keep you in the dark. It’s a great place, beautiful, a utopia rather than the Fruitopia we currently live in. I want to prepare kids today in ways that no one helped my generation. We lost our soul thanks to 9/ll. It makes me want to cry knowing that Greg Abott and Rafael Cruz did absolutely nothing to help their constituents while I worked my ass off to protect as many people as I can. We will fix this country, the infrastructure under my leadership and we will legalize and research legalized drugs to help our country rely less on pharmaceuticals and more on natural remedies and stimulants that help you to reach your fully potential. There will be mycologists informing you of the importance of studying the effects of psilocybin for mental health. We will be offering classes on growing your own non psychedelic mushrooms in hopes that the coming years will end the war on drugs and terror. I want to give you the fullest lives that I possibly can because I love my home, I love texas, I love my country and I love you, my fellow Americans . Whether or not I am your governor, I will always do my best to lead you to better and brighter things. There will be demonstrations on Deltas 9-11 as well as hemp derived THCO. I will keep you warm at night. I will keep a roof over your heads and I will make sure that everyone has the rights and benefits that we all deserve in the land of the free. It will no longer be Trump, Desantes and Rupert Murdoch and the late Epstein curse for bringing about lies about Covid, and democracy. It sickens me to my stomach that all of this is happening to our country but we can and will fix it because the world must be in Harmony. I want to provide everyone free schooling, free training and free healthcare because everyone deserves to have Mazlow’s basic needs fulfilled.
