Did Ethan and Xana attend the formal dance at Kappa Alpha Theta after leaving the fraternity party at 9?
Theory/speculation/question… While watching Stephanie Harlowe’s coverage of the Idaho murders she mentions that Ethan and Xana may have attended the Betty Ball or a similar formal at Ethan’s sister’s sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. It is mentioned at around 32:00 in this video: https://youtu.be/K2WQ-_irUI8 On this sub and in a lot of the media coverage there seems to be no details about where Ethan and Xana were after 9pm and before they arrived home at 1:45am. That’s a large chunk of time. Wondering if this is in fact where they were and if so, why that hasn’t been revealed. If not, why hasn’t been any insight into where they were for those 5 ish hours been discovered.

No Fraternization! and that scene. Yeah, you know the one.
When Deacon asks Corporal Russell about 'women' on the ride to Diamond Lake, Russell tells him the Colonel has a strict no fraternization policy. And it's not just a simple caution/warning, Russell stammers over the word several times before Deacon finishes it for him. This 'stammer' was a deliberate act at the direction of John Garvin (writer & director of Days Gone) in an effort to make sure that you, the Player, were paying attention, because the Colonel's 'no fraternization' rule is important. Shortly after meeting him, Captain Kouri also lets Deacon know about the Colonel's 'no fraternization' rule. These warnings are not for Deacon's benefit, they're for us. They're big, fat Blues Clues for the Player to make sure we know the Colonel will not tolerate fraternization, because it helps to explain why the reunion unfolds the way it does. When the Colonel introduces the 'new recruit' to Sarah, her eyes rapidly flick left to right and back again, back & forth between Deacon and the Colonel. Sarah is in shock, and she's panicking. She's in shock because her dead husband has just walked into her tent. And she's panicking because SHE knows the Colonel does not tolerate fraternization. "But they're married," you say. "It's not fraternization!" It's irrelevant how you define fraternization, in Colonel Garret's Deschutes County Militia it only matters how he defines it. So how does the Colonel definite it? We don't know, but Sarah knows. Sarah has been with the Militia long enough to have been promoted to Lieutenant, and long enough that she's gained Garret's trust such that she can sometimes call him Matt and usually get away with it. Sarah knows how the Colonel views fraternization, and from the way she panics then deliberately keeps their relationship a secret from the Colonel we can infer that if the Colonel knew they were married he would not have allowed them to remain together. Realizing the Colonel does not know who he really is, she vets Deacon by asking him to read the ingredients on the bottle of fabric softener, and when he does so she approves the Colonel's recommendation of him as her 'errand boy', thus allowing them to spend time together without raising suspicion. After the Colonel and the other troop leave, when Deacon starts to move towards her Sarah reacts like the Scientist she is, and the Militia officer she's been forced to become, by ordering him to stand at attention. Keep in mind that in spite of her outward appearance and actions she is still in shock at seeing her supposedly dead husband. Keeping Deacon at arms length (or slightly farther) gives her a moment to assess the situation, logically, as a scientist would do, but she quickly breaks down and loses her composure because Deacon is supposed to be dead, and she knows the odds of him not only surviving but finding her are incredible. They embrace but when she learns that Deacon wants to take her away she again reacts like the scientist she is, and the Militia officer that she's become. Logically. They're fighting a war, and she believes it's a war that they can win with her help, especially as she's working on a cure. And that brings us to a second, perhaps even more important reason as to why Sarah reacted the way she did, and why she concealed their relationship from the Colonel. This information can be found in Sarah's notes in her tent, if you look, which you may not be able to do until after the main story has ended. BIG thanks to u/rickfranco for pointing out (& reminding me) that you can read each of Sarah's notes after each of her interactions with Deacon. In her notes Sarah expresses concern that she would be hanged for treason if Garret ever found out she was working on a cure, and not a weapon, and also that she's concerned that Deacon would be hanged alongside her, if his identity was known. This is why Sarah reacted the way she did, she was protecting Deacon.

OTD in 1988, the Fraternity of St. Vincent Ferrer reconciled with the Holy See. The FVSF was originally Sedeprivationist but reconciled due to “Ecclesia Dei”. Their Priests use the traditional Dominican Rite for Mass and the Divine Office and use the Dominican constitutions and habit.

I have my theories, as do we all, but I think there is one unspoken but looming factor: This generation doesn't need to rely on military fraternity to get by in life, like our parents did. Most folks don't like doing base events, go to the base bars, use the base DFACs. Those facilities individually have their faults (if they're open at all), but from everything I've heard, it sounds like the funding to those things got cut after the loss of interest. After all, why fund something that isn't used? And how often do people do unit morale events willingly, without being bribed by leaving work for the day? Yes, there are a thousand other reasons why airmen aren't interested in base life, including drinking restrictions, rigidity of schedules which doesn't allow the white space to develop genuine relationships with coworkers, and the fact that data-driving decision-making has dehumanized the workforce. And more. But, let's stick with this theory. It seems like smaller units do ok, and exceptionally better overseas - but what do overseas bases have/need? Well, they need each other because they're surrounded by foreignness. They need the base they're at to give them things they need for comfort or provide for their livelihood. Schools, child care, social life, all things needed of the OCONUS base because it's all they have (or all they're comfortable with). And of course, protection. CONUS members need none of this, and can usually find better options off base. I am almost convinced it's the biggest factor. And, short of docking everyone's pay or forcing the use of base resources, I don't see a change on the horizon. I just see a dying culture, and knowing what it was like for those who came before us (at least supposedly), I think it's sad.

In stocks, you have a limited supply of shares. So, at some point, you run out of shares available at X price, and you have to move on to the next higher priced shares. For all intents and purposes, isn’t the available currency to trade basically unlimited? It seems like there would be more than enough available currency and would never budge the price. I have tried googling this answer and have found nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
