How to create a scalable subscription newsletter / send email in bulk?
Hey everyone, currently working on a project but got stuck realizing that the newsletter would have to be able to scale towards to at least a couple hundred thousand emails a week at once (perhaps more if it gets even slight success) as it’s part of the service. I’ve been eyeing AWS SES for this as it’s not as costly as other providers but haven’t found a way to send the emails in bulk. How would I go about creating a system like this? I’m scared of blocking node’s single thread with all these emails and I’m wondering how should I go about this? I’ve dealt with sending transactional emails but not marketing emails, so I’m lost and could use the help or advice from anyone rn. TL:DR: How do I send scheduled bulk emails in node js without blocking it’s thread?

Hello, I am the IT manager of a company (in Italy) who sells tech and we want to start a newsletter service. We have a privacy policy that the user accepted before any purchase, but that was not compliant with the GDPR. We want to update the privacy policy stating precisely what do we do with those data and what do we store. Since we have the emails of those that purchased on our website, we would like to invite them to join the newsletter. Is it legally doable? I mean, is it legal to contact them via e-mail to ask to susbscribe to a newsletter? I started the free trial of MailerLite and they suggested to create a landing page and invite the users through our personal mail (since inviting through Mailer Lite goes against their Terms and Conditions) in order to get a proof of consent and store correctly their data on MailerLite, but is it legal to act in this way? We don't want to loose all of those mail (10.000+) but we also want to act respectfully and not going against the GDPR. Also, what exactly do we need (and how) to store for proof of consent? Is the mailing list with timestamps on MailerLite enough? What if we change the agency and switch from MailerLite to another agency like MailChimp? Do we need to notify the users?
Looking for the best way to deliver a paid subscription newsletter with my content dripped monthly
Hello all, I make digital learning materials and am in the process of making it a subscription based model. I need a site (open to any and all possibilities) that can do the following: - Integrate with my email lists and automatically sort members and canceled members into correct list - recurring payments through most common gateways - send dripped content through email in a specific order from first sign up (1st month always get these files, 2nd month, these, etc) no matter when they sign-up. Content will possibly be stored/shared through Google Drive My preferred offer is the following: - First month free, followed by $1 for 2nd month with an automatic renewal (if didnt subscribe fully already) - From then on, $5 per month for full package, or $1 per month for limited package I hope to create a simple landing page to get the lead through the free month, then follow with a nurture campaign. I have been looking at lots of options, but am shying away from WP since I'm not strong in development. If there are easy plugins that can integrate the email drip campaign and membership capabilities, I am open to the posibility. I have looked through MemberPress, but have been turned off by the potential of getting stuck into the system and the email integrations. I've been recomended using a simple landing page and using SubStack to send the content (not sure about drip capabilities, need to research further). Any other recommendations to keep it as simple as possible would be great. Starting small as I have no email lists, but have a decent idea of how to get leads quickly. Thanks in advance!
