So probably everyone here knows mark's youtube channel (ukspreadbetting), he has a price action/ supply demand approach and he explain market moves using naked charts most of the time. I am a big fan of him, but i have a question.
It seems to me that he always uses this generic explanation to explain a turning point or a pivot point in the market regardless the pattern his talking about, the conditions, the context or anything. whenever there is a pivot point, lets say we make a swing high in an uptrend and reverse down, he says "we reverse down here either because buyers didnt find that as value (they are getting more passive), or because sellers did find this point as value (they becoming more aggresive), and there was a shift of supply and demand at that point"
my question for you is: what is the utility of mentioning this? In every pattern, in every swing, regardless context regardless everything, thats an explanation that doesnt provide anything usefull in my view. Some sellers finding value at one particular point at the time does not mean sellers would see value ogain when we reach the pivot ogain. So i dont get it, what is the utility of saying "oh yeah sellers did find value here (some random pivot point), oh, now buyers find value here (some other random pivot point), oh, now selers find value here (you get the idea)" You can say that about every single pivot point in every single market. Whats the point he is trying to make? where is the utility on this discourse? Because when i see a chart and i see a turning point/pivot point i would ask myself "why did that happen?, are we going to reverse ogain if we reach this point, is it going to become resistance, how could i know" and then i remember marks explaination and i say to myself "well, aparently sellers did find that point in price as value... yeah... so what?" is like there is no utility there is no point in that explanation, i know that i should put the level/pivot/zone into context and find subtle details, gather clues and make my own interpretation of supply and demand, see how exactly price has respond on that level when it turns. but ogain, i see this explanation of "buyers found value, sellers found value" and i dont get whats the point of mentionting it. what is the meaning or utility of explaining turning points/pivot points/value zones in this manner?
